Motherhood: A tale about coffee getting cold!

Someone rightly said, "Not all who wander are lost. Some are just moms...in target, hiding from their children."

At some point in time, we all mothers can surely relate to the words above. But gone are the days where you needed to know everything or at least pretend that you know it all if you were a mom. It's alright to be real at times and say I don't know everything and let your lil one's inquisitive prowess find their own answers in the process.

To be honest, before I conceived, babies and kids were strange words to me. I was a complete novice when it came to babies. Obviously, it wasn't an overnight transition from being a novice to a pro mom. But some trials and errors along with the passage of time gets the best out of you. The journey gets blissful with too many ups and downs along the way!

The point here is, kids don't need a mom who knows everything. If that was the case then google would never exist :) But all they need is a physically and mentally healthy and happy mom who is silly yet fun as they are, with whom they can relate and that's what makes the mother-child bond stronger.

The primitive years (initial 7-8 years) of a child's upbringing are extremely crucial. So ensure that all the disciplinary and mannerism part is done rightly here. And you don't need all 24 hours to do this but just a few productive hours daily with your child to strengthen the bond. Kids do listen if told with love and by creating interest rather than creating fear by shouting and howling at them.

So ladies, if you learn to strike a fine balance in the above duties you'll be still left with ample time to pamper yourself and indulge in what you love doing and being a badass mom while your kids grow .
